Astrum — Latin for star, constellation, heavenly body — arrives as the lead single from Small Hours. The title says something about the piece before a note is played: the music has that quality, the feeling of looking upward into something enormous and still. It opens quietly and expands gradually, grand piano and lap steel guitar support Emanuel Pavon's cello — a performance of real tenderness from a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic.
